A lot of people will say that they don’t want to gain weight, but muscle. This is a good theory; however, the two go hand in hand. You will need to focus on your diet, but you are going to have to burn off the calories that you are taking in. For those who are trying to gain muscle, you can’t just have a huge increase in food intake. You will just need to learn what to eat and what not to eat so that you don’t loss your muscle mass, but bulk up.

The first thing that you need to consider is protein. You will need to eat more protein in order to have the appropriate level of energy to pull this off. If you don’t eat enough protein, you will end up losing your muscle mass, because your body will start using stored protein. You will need to change your diet in order to have the protein intake and so that you can keep your current muscle mass, but also build on it.  You’ll know if you are pushing yourself too hard because your metabolic rate will decrease and your strength or muscle growth will also greatly reduce.

It is recommended that you eat things like chicken breast, turkey breast, fish, red meat, dairy products, protein powers, and other foods of protein in order to have the proper amount of protein intake.

There are a lot of people who have issues with food and eating disorders. There is just something that makes them feel not good enough or not thin enough when they are way below average. Anorexia is something that could literally kill you, you have to realize that this is a serious condition; however, the road to recovery is not an easy one. You will need to gain some weight in order to deal with your anorexia. You will need to restore your body’s health by having a well balanced diet and exercise program. Some of the things that you are going to have to do include keeping a food diary and also take a multi-vitamin every day so that you can gain your strength back.

With the food diary you will need to use it for every meal and snack. You should just list what foods you have eaten and how many calories. You don’t want to start off eating a lot of calories, because your body is not use to it. You will need to gradually add calories so that you are at the recommended amount. You will find that if you eat too much at once, you will only get stomach cramps and your body will begin to act as if you are overeating.

For you to gain the weight you will want to eat according to the food pyramid. You will also want to work very closely with a therapist. This will help you to emotionally look past the food and try to focus on the positive effects of your recovery. Your physician will tell you how to sustain a good eating pattern.

If you think that, your body is just too thin and you need to add some extra meat on you should think about some different ways to bulk up.  It makes no difference if you are suffering from an inability to consume the right amount of foods to meet your bodies nutritional requirements for weight gain or if you are someone that just has a fast metabolism, you can put on some weight.
